Throughout 2020-22, AM Studio focused on philanthropy - not just 1% or 5%, but truly giving back. To kick off this giving effort, we donated 100% of art proceeds to the American Cancer Society from commercial-scale murals, to large paintings, to clothing, to custom band covers, and corporate logos. When you order an art piece via this campaign, your donation is shared directly to the ACS ResearcHERS campaign. This campaign is dedicated to promoting equality in STEM by supporting the innovative and groundbreaking oncology research of scientists from traditionally under-represented backgrounds.

By partnering with the American Cancer Society (ACS), the nation's largest private, not-for-profit investor in cancer research, AM Studio art pieces support programs which drive increased access to patient care and fuel groundbreaking cancer research grants. This art campaign also celebrates over 15.5 million cancer survivors nationwide. 15.5 MILLION. That’s huge! And although new research has fueled cancer breakthrough therapies, our work is far from done. Cancer comes in all shapes, sizes, types, and continues to be a life-threatening burden. Will you join us?

Board Member, American Cancer Society LA Central Coast

ACN CAN Legislative Ambassador

I began my volunteerism locally with the American Cancer Society (ACS) in Orange County and in the Los Angeles-Central Coast Area. I then expanded my efforts to a national level, raising funds for cutting-edge research, lobbying for oncology initiatives in U.S. Congress, and engaging millennials in the fight against cancer across the US. My most recent involvement with ACS includes initiatives for BrightEdge Ventures, and legislative efforts with ACS CAN in order to support US policy for development of oncology-focused breakthrough therapies. An example of the policy we have supported in the past is the Palliative Care and Hospice Education and Training Act (PCHETA), where we secured $4B NIH funding, ~7.7% increase from FY2019.

Medical Assistant, Sundari Mohan Hospital - Silchar, India

I've been to India six times, and have worked four consecutive summers in a small village in northeast India assisting in surgeries such as gallbladder removal, kidney removal, hysterectomies, pelvic floor repairs, and thyroids, and cyst removal. During my time as a medical assistant, I utilized tissue forceps, artery forceps, large and small retractors, ball syringes, attach teeth clamps, and inserted surgical cloth and helped stitch patients’ surgical incisions. I also generated and led several hospital development activities, and served at the Northeast India Academy for the Blind Cataract Eye Camps, and Cachar Hospital Cancer Sector. I'm very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work in, volunteer in, and travel to 30+ countries (India, Austria, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, The United Arab Emirates, Cuba, Germany, Canada, Mexico, France, The United Kingdom, Belgium, Japan, Turkey, Thailand, Malaysia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Israel, Morocco etc).

Community Volunteer (Locally & Nationally)

Let Girls Learn: Hosted the "Let Girls Learn" event in Orange County to end extreme global poverty and enable resilient, democratic societies to realize their potential

Special Olympics: Volunteered yearly for the world's largest sports organization for children and adults with intellectual disabilities and physical disabilities. At the events, I promoted children's activities designed to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship. I've also spent time volunteering in India at the DISHA rural mentally disabled school.

Operation Valentine/ Santa: Created care packages for overseas military troops during valentines day and winter holidays. Managed a 10 member team of students at a holiday event where we answered "Dear Santa" letters from under privileged children each Christmas

Walk for Hope: Rallied a group of 15 women to donate and walk in the event. By walking, we not only raised funds for the fight but we also promoted regular exercise for woman and all the benefits that devolve from physical activity

Hurley International H20 Ambassador

India & Border of Bangladesh

I co-founded and funded an H20 initiative in Northeast India with another Hurley advocate. During this time, we raised funds for and delivered water filters to villages and schools in the states of Assam and Manipur, and along the Bangladesh border. We also created champions who maintained responsibility of operation, maintenance, and repair activities of water treatment systems in their respective regions.
